Santiago(1/3) Hoy terminamos el proyecto de recolección de agua para el grupo de mujeres rurales Flores Silvestres de San Jacinto, Canelones. Era un proyecto del Instituto Plan Agropecuario en el que ellas solicitaron materiales y asesoramiento para construir un sistema de recolección de agua para las flores que tienen, son floristas y tienen sus stands en la asociación de fomento rural de San Jacinto. Ellas quieren juntar agua, pre-filtrarla y utilizarla para regar sus flores, en forma sustentable, sin recurrir al agua de OSE que tiene mucho cloro. El proyecto está enmarcado también en hacer una instalación sustentable, económica, con materiales reciclados (en lo posible) y fácil de replicar en otros lugares de cercanía de la zona. El sistema cuenta con una canaleta que recolecta el agua del techo de los stands y se deposita en un tanque de agua. Lo novedoso es que tiene un sistema de descarte de primera agua hecho con contrapesos, regulable por cantidad de agua para resolver el problema que surge del hecho que ellas no están físicamente en el lugar donde se recolecta el agua y por lo tanto, si se junta desde el principio, el agua queda muy sucia. El sistema de descarte permite retardar la recolección hasta que hayan caido unos 10mm de precipitaciones (suficiente para que se limpie el techo), y luego sí, se recolecta en el tanque. El caño tiene un codo que inicialmente no junta el agua y luego que se llena una botella con esos 10mm de precipitaciones, quita una traba y el codo se cierra y comienza a llenar el tanque. Es un sistema muy simple que lo probamos varias veces hoy y parece que va a funcionar muy bien. Fue una experiencia hermosa poder compartir con ellas la inquietud por el agua, pensar el sistema y lograr este dispositivo útil y funcional que les permitirá lograr lo que quieren para sus flores.
