#Socialhome Matrix support goes a bit further. Added #Cerulean emulation, meaning you can now see my top level post there. No threading yet, need to implement MSC2836 first. No images, because Cerulean doesn't support HTML yet and Socialhome embeds images into the text as img
tags instead of posting images separately.
But if you join my profile room with a regular #Matrix client, you'll see images and such.
Next, virtual users from and to Matrix, and replies, from and to.
Excited to see #Matrix unveil #Cerulean! I hope it puts some pressure on #ActivityPub to implement e2e...

Mmmmm.... This is so cool <3 And also makes me super hungry to hack on my #Python federation library again Supporting the #Matrix protocol was always a thing I wanted to do, but I could never wrap my head around how streams would map to rooms - especially when thinking of posts in a network wide public context.
The work that has gone into #Cerulean solves many of those issues, making it possible to build more traditional social media platforms using the Matrix protocol.
I think the first thing to do might be get a Matrix client running for each logged in user in #Socialhome, connect them to a #Dendrite and start populating a profile / timeline room of their public posts stream
