What 'new' loan words are you using? A word from another language [could be a computer language or #conlang] that you have integrated into your every day life.
I started using 'Habibi' a few years ago when I started trying to learn #Arabic. When I first went to Romania when I was 14 I learned 'noroc' and have been using that instead of cheers ever since.
@liaizon my dad used to say that something would abend when it went wrong. I thought this was a normal word. Only in my 20's did I discover it's a COBOL programming term for "abnormal end of execution".
@sixohsix this is exactly the response I was hoping I would get from asking this question here! thank you.
@jeffcliff oh cool I didn't know about this project thanks
@liaizon don’t know why but I’ve started saying “konbini” for convenience stores.I’ve always sprinkled in French, German and some Spanish loan words (tschuss, einschuligund and de rien I use particularly often)
@Nikolai_Kingsley this is a good one!
