@liaizon The USB Foundation should be an organization helping people who are scarred by two decades of not having the right cable.
@liaizon That actually is a thing, and certified devices will at least meet the spec and not harm whatever they're connected to electrically. This has actually been a problem with USB 3.x, particularly with noncertified USB C cables. One of the guys at Google who does hardware QA for them has been independently posting reviews of USB C based kit for quality and safety, originally pn Google+ but now I think he's on Diaspora* somewhere. #USB #USB-C
